What Substrate is best?

caseyhawk55 Feb 07, 2007 12:22 PM

I have a trio of 1 month old yellow Ackies in rout. I am using a 20 gallon starter tank. What should I use for substrate? I have been told to use everything from Sani chips (LLL Reptile), Decomposed Granite/soil/play sand mix (Pro Exotics)to plain old dirt from a dry river bed.(Breeder) That's great but most of the picks I have seen have hatchling/juvies on papertowls or nothing at all. Somebody help the kid out.....Thanks

I like a mix of sand and dirt, its simple and easy.
