hey i was wondering how big they get and how much u need to feed them and how much they will weigh and how big a cage they will need im just wondering because when i bought my 2 jcps like 8 months ago a guy said they they can become very nice and they had monitors and iguannas roaming around the store also are they like iguannas with temperment because my iguanna died like 3 years ago and i really like it

An argus is not a monitor for a newbie. I am not too sure it is a lizard for someone with experience. hahaha
A healthy male can reach 5 foot.
They are always hungry. I feed my juvie 3 to 4 hopers a day along with a dozen dusted roaches and it acts like it wants more.
My cage is currently 3X7X4 and will soon be moved to a 4X8X4.
You can't let an argus just run free through the house. It will tear up and knock over everything. They are very active, highstrung seems like an understatement and strong.
They are not what I would call calm and laid back.
