Baby chicks as food

hbailey Oct 22, 2005 08:20 PM

I'm getting ready to reorder my food supply and was thinkg about trying out the baby chicks. My argus is 3' and eaisly pounded the rats pups 5-8 a day. This is getting really expensive, so I'm thinking of chicks as a slightly cheaper source of food to suppliment the rodents and still feed whole prey.

Any advice?

My flaviargus loves them, I also use mice from a local supplier that are somewhat skinny and very cheap but work good with those peeps. The rats I use are for Sobek and sometime soon the new BT.

That's good to hear, my argus should not have any problem then. I've fed f/t mice and rats almot stricly. Just getting real expensive to do and my wife's real concerned with my desire for a pair.

Thanks for the info.
