ever seen your monitor 'sniff' its butt?

No, there is no reason. You are worrying about tiny little unimportant things, may have been just looking for food and happened to turn its body...maybe it was cleaning itself..ha. Nothing to concern yourself with. Scent marking is a totally different subject that has to do with monitor interaction.

They do it in two different ways. One is like a dog, where they lift their back leg up over their head, and reach down and pick. The other is they sit in a corner or up against something, with their butt facing up and then they pick or groom their butt, like a cat.

I imagine they do so because their butt needs picking(grooming) With healthy monitors, its not a problem. Cheers
