Snails

Nate83 Jul 11, 2005 12:40 PM

Hello All,

I have what I think are garden snails in my yard, and lots of them. I know that Blackthroats eat snails but does anyone know if the land/garden snails native to southwest New Mexico are safe for a BT to eat? Thanks for any help.

regards,
Nate

Hi,
If they are European Garden brown snails (Helix aspersa) = GO FOR IT! They love them...they will eat all you offer them, and they are designed to eat them in Africa or in S.W. USA.... Make sure they are European Brown Snail = escargot snails = do a google with images and that should answer your question for sure...
