How the hell do yall keep loosing yalls monitors? Are they escaping or what?

mine dug through the hole where the water fall electric cable comes out of the cage, and i thought i had that completely secure and escape proof... just goes to show...

An electric waterfall.......Dude, throw that thing away, all a monitor needs is dirt, a water bowl/tub, and a nice basking area. They don't need cage furniture, decorations or anything like that.

i like it, its an easy and efficient way to provide humidity and water (cleaner water too) as well as enhance the aesthetics. i like having naturalistic setups and the waterfall surrounded by plants that gradually dissapear into a warmer slightly more arid opposite side of the cage is really nice, and i can't help that think he appreciates (or at least appreciated, since i'm concerned my cat may have found him before me) the waterfall too. sure, all it needs is some dirt, some hides, some water, and some logs but the plants and waterfall (which he loved climbing up on and hanging out on or by the running water) make it extracomfortable for him. its like going from a motel six to a four seasons. i want to try and make my animals feel like they are at home as much as i can. but you can keep your monitors how you like, either works in the long run.

I don't know of any waterfalls where BT's live, but if it works for you, then go for it.

it was a timor monitor and i really could care less, it looked nice, provided humidity and drinking water, and we both enjoyed it. i'm not telling you to go put one in your cage.
