Hi all,

i am a U.S. Marine in jacksonville NC, Just got (2) 4 ft Blk Throats from some one who went to Iraq. They are mean when i reach in the cage the swat their tails and charge at my hand (wearing a glove of course). They have been eating a can of monitor diet a day, they were very thin when i got them, I have alot of experience with waters and savannahs, but not the black throat. I want to calm them down some, and would like to sell them and the beautiful 6 ft cage they are in for $200. If anyone has some ideas or would like to pick these guys up for this cheap price just reply.

You feed 4ft monitors A CAN of monitor food a day........dude, feed them whole prey items like rats/mice and quail/chicken peeps.

All monitors are individuals, they will probably never change, they are like this after this long, who knows what their real age or origin is. A 6ft cage for 2 4ft BTs doesnt help, they are jammed in there with no room, very stressful.
