Hey there everyone.
I'm going to pick up my nile, blackthroat, and sumatran water hatchlings in 17 days. I'm very excited and can't wait to get them. I have experience with large lizards and am well read on monitors. I can't bring myself to beleive all of the bad press that niles are getting. Usually herpers look at me crazy when I say I'm going to be raising a nile. I'm home for quite a while on medical leave so I'll have lots of time to tame and love them. I consider the nile and it's bad rep a challenge. I can't wait to prove the nay sayers wrong. I'm not flighty or jumpy with them. I'm not afraid of them, I handle them well, and I am good at staying calm in a crazy situation. I'm determined to have the best and most well behaved nile on the planet. I'll do this with good husbandry and lots of handling and caring for him/her.
I'm open to any and all suggestions and info.
