baby WM slight foam around mouth?

onedge30 Apr 28, 2006 05:20 PM

Hello,

I am new to the WM forum. I have had other reptiles and am familar with most sign and illnesses, but this is new to me.

The baby is about 3 months, 30 gal cage, basking spot, water bowl, hide, cypress mulch. Room temp about 85, basking about 110-120. Eating crickets, pinkies all dusted.

But this very slight foam around the edges of his mouth is weird. He looks ok, acting a little lethargic, but alert. Moved him to the cooler side of the tank, and he went back to lay at the base of the basking area. I thought he was getting too hot, but I dont know. Ideas?

Thanks,

Jeff

Ok, read a few of the other posts - looks like I sould be watching the night time temps. I dont think they get any lower than 78-80, but will check.

Increased night time temps to 85. No improvement over 2-3 days, appears to be more lathargic. Off to the vet.
