What are the biggest and smallest locales/subspecies of water monitors?

I'm no expert with salvators, but i believe the nominates tend to be the largest, like the sumatran. i've heard that the speckled waters stay smaller at 4.5 feet. this is just heresay i've picked up. i don't keep waters.

the nominate form (salvator salvator) is the largest with individuals from sri lanka and Malay peninsula reaching 10 feet in some rare cases. the smallest subspecies in the wild may be v. s. nuchalis- with lengths of 3-5 feet total. below pic is my female sulfur. they are a color phase of the nominate form, and so they grow very large. -john
