question about 6 mo niles

taco006 Jul 08, 2006 05:32 PM

Ok here we go. I have 3 baby niles in a terrarium right now, and 2 of them constantly bother each other. I don't know if they are playing or actually fighting. the smaller one constantly bites at the slightly bigger one. this started occuring just a few days ago and have had them together for over a month now. i am thinking of seperating the 2 of them but am wondering if this could just be play for them.

I don't think monitor play like cats or dogs. Don't try to think of your monitors as cats or dogs which are mammals, and mammals do play, but reptiles don't bother. And When they hatch out of the eggs they all go their seperate way. So basically they are solitary, so they don't play. So i think you should seperate them if one started to show sign of aggression over the other.
