I have had a young water monitor as a pet in the past.I gave it to a pet store just as it was about 2 or three years because of landlord paranoia at the time (1982).Back then all we had were glass aquariums.Presently I live in a basement apartment in a private house and am contemplating another water monitor ,preferably a baby.Since basements get cold I had some questions in mind.My heat is generally pretty good.As far as heating options go I have heard that radiant heat panels are best. And I have always liked glass aquariums because these can easily be flushed out when cleaning. But the fact is I have only seen radiant panels on the internet and I imagine ideally they are used with certain caging.I am respectfully requesting any info on glass cage (or other) usage/heating ideas and suggestions for water monitors. Can a radiant heat panel be used with a glass tank or would I be better off with a different set-up? I live in the New York area and I was thinking of using D&J Reptiles to buy my water monitor. Also requesting any opinion of this dealer or if there are other preferable dealers in my area.Thank You Harold S
