Poop and tubbys

redtaildaddy Feb 16, 2006 09:54 AM

I was wondering what healthy sav poo looks like, kinda nasty I know just want to keep a watchful eye on him, and I gave him a bath last night in warm water in a very large (thoroughly cleaned) rubbermaid tub, he loved it, how often can i bathe him, or let him swim? and i wanted a pair of sav's but the guy only had one for right now, when i get his partner can i put them together right away or do i have to wait for them to acclimate to each other?

Give them a dish larg enough to soak at will and change the water every day, they will poop in the water. Soaking really helps with sheeding. If you notice your monitor is always in the water or sleeping however, you may want to check your humidity and number of hides. The monitor is saying I'm to dry or I can't find anywhere else to feel safe. Listen to them, they will tell you what they need. Except for feeding, then they always say I'm hungry . With adult savs you have to watch their weight.
