Could some one please tell me when my female monitor will become sexually mature or when I should see her start laying eggs because I hav yet to see any. Also does anyone have any ideas for a nesting box? I do not have the right set up to offer enough dirt to dig in so I have no choice but to use a nesting box. So before anyone becomes critical I am trying to do the best I can with what I have to work with. If I could I would chang the cage but that is not a possibility right now. SO thank you for all who reply with advice.

I hate to be the one to tell you this but, without the proper husbandry, you can forget about fertile eggs.

Are you sure it's a female? From the pic it looks female but from that angle, I can't be certain, hard to see the tailbase.

The picture is of my male. I am partial to him. Yes I am very sure that the female is female and the male is male. I think that they "mated" the other day. Not sure though we were gone all day long and when we came back she had white all over her tail base. I have pictures of it if interested. This is a picture of the two. The smaller is the female the larger is the male. Both have grown since the picture. Well hopefully we will know soon. By here estimated age she should be becoming sexually mature here soon.
