Savana Monitor Bedding

nglynn6425 Jun 19, 2006 11:12 PM

I've had my monitor for about 8 months and it's probably about a year old. I was just wondering if it is ok to use just plain old top soil for it's bedding? I had some other stuff from my local pet store in there but it's kinda pricey. I've read that it's ok to use dirt but I live in AZ and it's a pain to find good dirt to use. If any can help me out I'd greatly appreciate it.

Plain old topsoil is fine. I'd avoid anything "treated" (i.e pesticides).
