We just got 2 savannas a few months ago.One was chosen because it was a very striking obviously healthy specimen...a dominant feeder. The other was one of several smaller ones that had a lump at the base of the spine at the vent region that we took out of a sense of pity. They live in a 50 gallon breeder that has two separate water recepticles, one fairly large with an outcropping placed in the center. The smaller one(7"
rarely goes to the water unless placed there, while the larger one(10"
will soak for hours at a time...sometimes sleeping there. It seems to have become his hide spot as the outcropping placed within creates several tight spots and some cover. The smaller one has a log and stays there very often. They seem to get along very well and both eat like champs. The smaller one will sometimes take food away from the larger one with no apparent hard feelings. What I'm driving at is how normal is it for one to love water and the other not.I'm hoping this is not the beginnings of some type of territorialism, but it probably is.What experience do you people have with keeping 2 savannas together? The large "water hole is within the basking area and the water temp is in the 80's during the day.We change it almost dailey.GOD BLESS...
