My Savannah Monitor

How do I tame my baby Savannah Monitor because I have a year old one and when I try to pick him up he tries to whack me with its tail and tries biting me so I was woundering what is the best way to keep him tame, and whoever sees this I have another question can I out my year old one with the about 3 week old one I just got? Thank You.

I Wouldn't Put a 3 week old in with a yearling you will definitely have problems due to the size difference of the two monitors, To tame them basically, if its gonna happen make sure the set up is proper and then spend alot of time constantly around your Savannah, make sure to just randomly pick it up, touch him etc so he gets used to being messed with it is not a domesticated animal and it is natural for them to fear people. Also try to disassociate your self with food as much as possible, DO NOT hand feed your monitor unless you want to loose some fingers when they're bigger.
