How old is your Sav?

RoscoP Feb 02, 2008 02:51 AM

Hi, I'm just wondering what is your personal experience with Savannah's lifespans? I read one article of someone who's sav hit 10 years, but that seems rare in captivity.
I've had my sav for 4 years now, but he was already 19 inches long total when I got him( now he's 40" )

Also, being I havent raised a savannah from a hatchling, anyone got a good guess what his age might have been at 19"? He appeared to have been fed well, as he was in very good body condition. The petstore said that the first owner claimed him to be 6-8 months old at that time. Sound likely?
Thanks.

sounds likely to me.. but ive only had one Sav. he is 24 inches at 11 months. so if i remember right he was about 19 inches at around 7 or 8 months. what kind of enclosure do you keep your 40" sav in?
