Hybinos vs Tang albino

ExcessiveHerps Sep 09, 2008 10:29 PM

I was sold a yearling hondo as a possible hybino from looking at several online photos tang albinos look the most alike to me. So my question is how can one prove what they have without breeding it? Also is there any other morph a possible hybino could be?

Visually there may not be much difference between the two, so unless you are sure of the parents genetics you would really have to prove out the animal to know for sure.

Look at the body on the left side you can see some white flecking in the bands, the one on top has none. They looked almost identical as hatchlings, as they are aging the tipping is starting to come out. That's why it's important to buy from someone you trust.

So hybinos have a cleaner look? I also seen the deeper red one (Hybino?) has a cleaner white would all by hybino have crisp white while tang could not? Mine presently is a yearling and have nice bands unlike yours the white isn't starting to get taken over whould losing white be a traight of hybinos? Would this be a key difference or can hybino have normal banding without the fading white?

Thanks
