cage question

gyke Sep 05, 2003 06:57 PM

A while ago I saw a website that showed a cwd cage in which the wood was covered in plaster to make it look natural. I have two questions. Does anyone know if this really works and lasts? And could you use pine plywood if it is covered in the plaster? The only reason is that by me pine costs about half the price of any other type of wood and I'll have a pretty tight budget. Before I start looking into it more I want to make sure it will work. One thing I would just like to mention is that some people can be very ignorant about lizards. In my sister's spanish book they have a picture of what is obviously a cwd labelled as an iguana.

I am starting my cage on Friday, with the wood then I am going to use the foam insultation stuff with plaster over that. I will keep you posted on how it goes. I'm keeping my fingers crossed it is gonig to work though, its a lot of work for nothing if it doesnt.
