I gotta go with what JP said. Bleach can combine with other chemicals and make things worse. Chlorine and some fertilizers caused the death of about 100 people in a fertilizer plant several years ago. That is how they figured out how to make some of the nerve gases used in chemical weapons. NO JOKE!!!!! Cannot remember sure but organophosphates and chlorine is a BAD COMBO!!
Actually bleach and organics is bad as they combine and make significant carcinogens.
YEp kills many bacteria BUT pseudomonas the most common infectious agent in reptiles has been known to survive eating the glue in the top of bleach bottles. So they are often resistant to bleach anyway. THEY ARE NOT resistant to chlorohexidine or quat ammonia.
IN YOUR CASE!!!
First thing I would use is very difficult to find . GLOVES, DAWN DISH SOAP, A RAG, AND HOT WATER!!!!!!!!!!!! then rinse with cool water. ALLow to dry!!
To finish the job. Any oil type resins can be removed with rubbing alcohol!! isopropanol. 70% Use liberally so the paper towel is very wet with alcohol. Change out the paper towel several times to keep it clean while doing the porcess.
So take Isopropanol and paper towels and wipe it down very well. Do this outside and away from any ignition sources!!!!!!!!! It will dry on its own and do a fair job of sterilizing as well. Alcohol sterilizes primarily by dessication so the wet to dry is important. NO residue of the alcohol will remain after 24 hours.
