Care sheets?

fatjay Sep 10, 2008 09:42 PM

It's been awhile since I've visited these forums and I'm just now starting to get back into hobby. I remember kingsnake.com used to have links for care sheets of all types of reptiles, but I can't seem to find them now. Could someone point me in the right direction? Spefically for ball pythons and corn snakes...
Thanks bunches!

Welcome back.. If you look at the tabs on the top of the site. Go to the features tab. From there you can find care sheets. Also just typing in the animal you are looking for in your web browser will usually pull up lots too. There is tons of information on Ball pythons that way too.

Thanks a lot! I thought it used to be on the home page, but I could be wrong. Its been about 2 years since I've had a snake, so I haven't visited here in awhile. Mostly owned corns snakes before. My room mate and I are planning on attending the Reptile Show in Omaha on the 5th of October and I'm literally counting down the days! I'm really lookin foward to pickin up a pare ball pythons and sharing the pics with everybody.

After throughly browsing this site, we're hoping to be able to find an Albino and an Axanthic at the show. However, axanthics don't seem to be all that common...? Holding my breath that I find one!

Hi,

If you are going after an axanthic PAY ATTENTION to what line you buy. Almost none of the axanthic lines are compatible.

Joliff axanthic x VPI axanthic = DH VPI JOLIFF axanthic No visuals
VPI axanthic x SK axanthic = DH VPI SK axanthics No Visuals

So whatever Axanthic line you buy into keep track of it because it is VITALLY important!!

My preference is for the VPI axanthic with the SK axanthic being a VERY close #2. This is based on the least amount of brown in the pattern.

Ah, I understand what you're saying. I haven't decided if I'm going to breed my snakes or not. I just really like the axanthics, especially spider axanthics. If I were to breed an exanthic, it'd probably be with an albino.

Albino x Axanthic = 100% Normal DH Snow ?
Or is the Axanthic like a factor in that outcome as well?

Hi jay, axanthic x albino = Double het snow. then another 2-3 years to before you get the 1/16 chance of a snowball. Frankly there are a lot easier and better ways to get an all white snake. The aaxanthic spider is really incredible. so are pastel axanthics Lee
