DaveKS Sep 11, 2008 08:26 AM

What is the thickest species of snake that is bred with a pure white or piebald pattern?

Thanks,

...or at least thicker and a litte longer than a regular ball python.

Recently, there has been a pure white leucistic form of Reticulated Python produced. The snakes are the purest of white, have zero blemishes whatsoever, and have jet black irises and pupils. I don't think these are even available for sale to the public as of yet though, but when/if they are, it would take some EXTREMELY deep pockets to pay for one. They are no doubt sure to go for MANY, MANY thousands of dollars.

Some years ago, there was a single pure white female leucistic Burmese Python that was acquired for $150,000 dollars,...but she had egg-binding complications after being bred, and later died. That had to have been quite a blow to Bob Clark, that snake cost as much or more than many homes do, especially since it was many years ago.

I have also seen a white, very speckled "calico" form of piebald/leucistic Burmese Python on TV, but don't know if there are any of these at all for sale yet either.

For a mere $15K, you could take her home!

She was for sale at Bob Clark's table next to ours at the San Antonio Expo in June. He graciously let us photograph her. Wow, what a gorgeous snake, and dog tame!

That would be them!..LOL!

I was surprised not to see Bob Clark at the Daytona show this year, since I have seen him there in the past, but that's quite a drive from where he lives too.

BTW, very nice photos of the little white beast!
