For a full size sav your gonna be looking at a pretty large enclosure. Mine's 6x3x3. They dont need a very tall cage but its good to make them a little taller to take in account for about a 1' to 1.5' of soil. If its just a baby right now about a 30 or 40 gal tank is fine. But they grow fast. Sorry the pics are kind of dark. Good luck

Nice setup! what's the humidity like in that bad boy?

Thanks for the pics. Does the rectangle in the left front lead to a burrow or is it for a water bowl perhaps?

Well it opens from the top and its screen top but I inlayed 1/4" plexiglass and calked the edges to keep air in. And those 3 little black dots along the back are a home made misting system. So the humidiy is always 60-70% and I dont mist it very often. As for the front left, its a soaking pool I had a local metal fabricating shop make up for me. It slopes from 1 in to 6 inches. And its got a drain in the bottom and a shut off valve so I can empty it underneath.

yea its two pieces of large cork bark with a hide under it.

This if for my 3 foot adult sav. Substrate is 70% top soil and 30% decomposed granite. The plant is a stump that I cut off a tree from outside that just started growing again
