* Ctenosaura melanosterna just hatched !

RussGurley Sep 11, 2008 02:34 PM

Dear Friends -

After 70 long, anxiety-filled days, I am happy to announce the hatching of 7 healthy, very active Ctenosaura melanosterna last week. They are doing well and are already feeding on roaches and small crickets.

Take care -

*drool* Congrats on a job well done. Hope to see you produce many more in the coming years so they can be shared. Melanosterna are one of my dream lizards.

Very Cool!

Do you have some pictures of the parent animals, because these hatchlings really don't look like melanosterna's to me.

Melanosterna don't have a green glance over them and have a different pattern.

Check out other pictures here of hatchling melanosterna's.

I sent my adult trio to Russ and can vouch for him. Russ has a terrific reputation in the States.

They do have green when first hatched although not as deep as a lot of others in the genus. It is especially noticeable in bright light.

Oh okay, I really didn't know that. Haven't read it anywhere.
In what time does this dissapear?
