Longest hatch time

charleshanklin Sep 11, 2008 07:57 PM

What is the longest time for a clutch to hatch for you? I just had a clutch hatch on 9-8-08 that was laid on 5-19-08. They were at the same temps as all my other clutches and they all so far have hatched in 60-70 days. This one just threw me for a loop.

Yeah Charlie,....112 days is just INSANE!!!

Does that aberrant have a sort of light hypo-E wash to it, or is it just the lighting and pic with them in pre-shed?

BTW, I called Guinness Book of World Records, and they will be there tomorrow at 10:00 am for an interview..LOL!

Nice animals Charlie...
I agree with Doug that the aberrant animal is slightly more dull in coloration. I'm assuming that it's just going into its first shed?
Here's a clutch of day old hypoerythristic sinaloans and hets for a comparison of the animal you have pictured.

BTW, I hope your family and animals fare well through the Hurricane, buddy!

I think it's just preshed or it still hasn't gained all of it's pigment. Been in there long enough but who knows at this point. It's just like mom always said.......

That is extremely long.
I average 45 to 75 days of incubation, depending on the species at temps of 75 to 80 degrees, again depending on the species.
