I was installing a roof down the road and I stopped home for a gatorade and saw this. I'm so happy I didn't miss it altogether, she was on her last one. I want to thank "indictment" for asking all the questions for me and I'd like to thank you guys for replying. Does anyone know how long it should be before mom eats? She hasn't eaten in 4 months. She had 1 undeveloped, 1 premature that died in 20 min. and 5 healthy looking little ones.

Sure....I don't mind to be the one asking all the novice questions haha. Nice looking photos, lucky that you caught it in time.

Also I'd like to know the proper temp. for the babies. Right now I have a 50 watt basking light on the tank. The warm spot is 82 degrees. I'm thinking I should probably up this a little. Is 82 good enough?

You might want to change the substrate or make sure the towel is very damp. It is possible for some of the fetal membranes to dry to the towel and there is a chance that when they start crawling that they will put out some of the yolk that your babies will need until you can get them feeding. Good Luck!!

good point, I already put in fir bark. The towel was a temporary. thing. I cleaned the cage and forgot I used the rest of my fir bark on my sons really nice hondo. milk snake that he just got at the White Plains show. Does anyone have any pics. of cages set up for youngens?

I took apart an old gun cabinet and built a cage for my little ones. I'll get you a pic soon I gotta charge the camera.
