My 6 toed Redfoot

cod6545 Sep 05, 2003 08:43 PM

Hey guys- I'm kind of hogging the boards, but I had to post this. I was feeding and soaking my 3 month old Redfoots and just doing a routine inspection, when I noticed my Redfoot "Stainer" had two toenails fused together to equal 6 toes! This may be a very common thing, but I've never heard of it. Have you? If you want, e-mail me at cod6545@cs.com, or post your e-mail here and I'll send you pic. Thanks. Brooks

I had a female Colombian redfoot with 6 toes on each of her front legs. The funny thing is that I had her for several years before I ever noticed it!
I kept her until the mid 80s and then she went to Ellen Nicol.
