Gotta love all the new babies especially the ones with snake hooks. How far are you from Spokane? I may have to come out sometime before it gets to cold.

Great Falls is 6 hours away from Spokane. Better come soon, only a couple weeks of herping left!

I wish I could find that "same old stuff" on a regular basis or at all for that matter. That prairie rattlesnake den is awsome!

I know, this same old stuff is still cool to find, Its just the snakes I'm looking for (hogs & rubber boas) are no where to be found.
Thanks,
Dan

Dan,

Well the pine forest is different!
Are you really that jaded? I'd give my eye teeth to find that much stuff! Beautiful country you live in..

Thanks!

The pine forest in this post is in Lewis & Clark County, 1 county over from here. I like to spend the day over there every few weeks or so.

Are those "Gopher" or Bullsnakes in that series of pics?

Matthew
Your welcome, btw.

daneby Sep 16, 2008 10:15 PM

They are bulls.

jhnscrg Sep 17, 2008 02:27 PM

Thought so, but wasn't 100% sure. Nice looking snakes!

Those pics are amazing. I'm so jealous! I have to compliment you on your parenting skills. Way to raise that kid right.
