In an ad for burms and retics, I saw the names "cateaters" and "bateaters". Does anyone know what this means? Does it have to do with the size of the snake?

"cateaters" and "bateaters"
Yeah, these are the Burmese Pythons that are "taking over Florida." They eat people's cats & bats.
Nah, I'm just jokin', pickin' at "The sky is falling" crowd. I'm not pickin' at you.
Seriously - They're both python hybrids.
"Bateaters" are the result (offspring) of Burmese Python x Reticulated Python breeding. "Cateaters" are the result (offspring) of Burmese Python x African Rock Python breeding.
Have a good one!
