By dumb luck, I made this interesting aberrant male hypo last year... I saw some other types like this at Don Shores table in Daytona this year... Does this aberrancy happen allot or is it just a fluke? Pete Strelkow

Aberrancies similar to that do happen fairly often, especially when the large number of these animals being bred in captive collections is considered, but they are for the most part very unpredictable flukes, and are expremely variable. There are only maybe a couple known lines that produce aberrant offspring with any real consistency, suggesting that there may be some hereditary possibilities with a few bloodlines. Future breedings will certainly make this a little clearer though.

Thanks Doug... that snake you posted certainly looks allot like my male snake... appreciate the info.... Pete
You're welcome Pete!,....they do indeed look very similar to the one you have, the pic on top is a hypo male, and the bottom pic is his female sibling. These two are thought to be "genetic" for their aberrant traits because of the fact that ALL previous clutches of their bloodline have all had similar aberrancies to different degrees. This will be VERY interesting to see what their offspring display when they are bred to one another!!

Pete, that is a nice animal. I know of people who breed them and get some aberrant animals but I don't think all of the animals are that way even when two aberrants are bred together. I have a ghost that Rodney hatched last year that looks like that. Don
