Let's keep Nathan Wells and

other fellow herpers living in Texas and other impacted areas in our thoughts and prayers. Nathan and his family had to leave their home for safer ground. I hope everyone remained safe and had minimal damage to their property.

You said it! Nathan's a great guy and it's got to be really rough to experience what they're dealing with on the Texas coast.

YES, lets ALL keep Nathan and his family in our prayers.. There are also many other fellow herpers that contribute to these forums that were displaced down there as well..

I wish all of them the best of luck!!! I hope there is minimal damage to their homes and property and NO lost animals in their collections!

GOOD LUCK GUYS!!

Yes, Dave!.........I certainly hope Nathan's family and ALL the other people in that area were able to fair well through the storm's wrath. That was quite a hit those folks had to endure.

Best wishes too EVERYONE involved!

best regards, ~Doug

Yes indeed.
My fiancee's family lives in the Houston area, too, and I'm happy to say they are all okay with minimal property damage. As someone who has been through a direct hit from a major hurricane (Rita, 2005), I can say it's a harrowing experience whether you ride out the storm or evacuate. Nathan and all the rest of you guys, we're thinking about you.

Good post Dave. I can't imagine the difficulty and stress of having to evacuate my home with my family and leaving pets behind as well as a snake collection. Hopefully, everything turns out OK after a few days for Nathan and others. My concern is also the extended power loss. No power for weeks could be just as much of a an issue for some as the flooding.
