Not eating, need some help here!

A few months ago, I purchased a pair of yearling black pines. They took off right away, but soon the female started to regurge on me. Prolly my fault for feeding too large a meal perhaps. Anyway, I took all the advice about letting her rest, etc. and offering very small meals. Well, it has been 6 weeks and she has not touched food. I offer once a week, very small item. The male is doing great. She is housed in an appropriate size tub, with hide. Room temp is 78, back of tub mid 80's.

Please advise, I don't want to lose her.

Thanks!

They go off feed.I feed my northerns prey the same size as there girth. If I start pushing larger prey items they go off feed for weeks at a time.My female would eat 2 medium rats and not eat again for a couple of months.

If lead paint is so deadly why do they make it so delicious?

Same thing happened to me with a young black pine- I did end up losing it.

I'm pretty sure it was my husbandry. (over fed, handled WAY too much because I was sooooo excited to get back into snakes again, etc.)

Anyway,
I'm not sure if anybody has offered this up for you, but in addition to offering VERY small meals once a week, I wouldn't handle the snake, bother it- nothing.(other than to check on her to make sure her health isn't declining) Just make sure she has fresh water, a good gradient, hides in different spots, etc.

Crossing my fingers for you- the regurge cycle SUCKS!
