Produced by Larry Keller. I just love this rat and cannot wait until full maturity!

Unfortunately, I just meant for brilliant colors as an adult. I don't know much about this species, except that they are said to have a powerful musk. And often like cold-blooded prey. No husbandry experience.

My carinata have not musked on me since I have owned them and I take them out during cleaning once a week. They are quick to defend themselves and will bite but will often chew as well. They don't like being handled and if they aren't defending, they are fleeing so be careful on holding them properly as they could injure themselves while attempting to escape.
