There is no Lemke line of albino northern pines. One wild caught albino northern is responsible for all that exist. They were first produced by Mark Bell.
im not saying your wrong but id like to here a few other peoples opinions. I bought at a show and that's what it was labeled as. its hard to photo. but im sure theres no southern blood in it. so folks is it possible at all in any shape or form that it could be a lemeke line?
thanks in advance.
I bred a variety of pines years ago. I know the history of northern albinos without a doubt. I know who found it and where it was found. I would not have posted if I was not sure.
would ya pm me the all the history you have on them for my files?
I got the parents of that snake from Lloyd Lemke in the mid 90s. One was albino, one was het. He told me that they were decendants of the original wild-caught New Jersey, one eyed founder then bred with others from New Jersey as well. He may have gotten them from Mark Bell or someone else, he didn't say. That's really all I know about them. I got many snakes from Lloyd in years past and always knew Lloyd to be an upstanding guy. His loss was a big one.
