Update Photo of Sunglow Motley

fgs Sep 14, 2008 11:08 PM

When I got home tonight from the Sacramento Show I went out to check on my animals and found that the sunglow motley had shed. I love the red lines located near her belly that almost run the length of her body. I'm still in awe of this snake's beauty.

It was great seeing and visiting with Dave Colling, Derek Yagi and Nick Stone at the Sacramento Show today. I hope you all had a great show.

Brian

Wow that is gorgeous. All I keep thing about is a sunglow super motley! Do I see a solid orange snake in a few years?

fgs Sep 15, 2008 01:10 PM

Chris:

I don't know if there will ever be a patternless red boa, but having a snake like this in my collection is a thrill I enjoy every day.

Thanks for your comment.

I triple double dog dare you Brian. Show those people over there what beauties they are missing out on. You don't have to rub their snotty little noses in it. All you have to do is show and imagine the longing for something that beautiful in a Ball Python.

Do it Brian... it feels good!

Looking good Brian..even your hypo motleys..congrats on producing them beauties.
this year I bet you use your motley albino male on the mom of this litter...wouldn't you think?

fgs Sep 15, 2008 12:50 PM

Tibor:

You're so right about my plans.

I can hardly sleep at night wondering if I will produce black and white boas born in the same litter.

The female is in perfect weight and the male albino motley is three years old and seems very healthy.

I'm sure you are having just as much luck in the sleeping department.

I hope you hit on the same project bud.

I plan on taking photos of her after each shed using the same background. It will be interesting to see how her color changes.

Hey Brian,

I sure do love that snake, you really need to bring her over then turn your back

Was great seeing you at the show but as you saw, it was a madhouse. Would have liked to spend more time chatting. I know you saw much more of the show than I did, I barely got away from my tables to go to the bathroom!!!

NO, she did not sell!!! I was shocked but even with all the attention she received and all the folks looing at her, I ended up bringing her home. Boas in general did not do well at all. Had a couple vendors selling nice looking morph boas at bargain basement prices. I mean DIRT CHEAP! I think that killed the boa market for the rest of us.
