Anerythristic or normal?

Euroboy Sep 05, 2003 10:32 PM

Well, this is probably a stupid question, but do you guys think I should buy an anerythristic or a normal phased corn snake? I'm from Norway and I haven't the opportunity to see the snakes before buying them. I'v seen pictures of many anerythristic snakes, and they seem a bit dull in their colors compared to the normal phased corn snake. On the other hand, some of the specimens I have seen are really beautiful, and looks better than the normals. So what do you guys think? I would appreciate if some of you could post some pictures of nice looking anerythristics and normals. Thanks on advance!

It is a very hard choice but I would have to say a normal to start with.
Anerys are beautiful snakes but it is just so hard to beat the beauty and diversity of normal corn snakes.
Of course, you could always get one of each. That takes all of the doubt out of it....lol
here is a picture of a normal I got from Don at SMR.
The picture seems to be just a touch brighter then the snake really was but just a little.
Unfortunately this little guy escaped and hasn't been seen in seven or eight months.

Here is a picture of my Anery. He is just a hatchling and this isn't the best picture but what the heck.
I haven't taken new pictures since I got him....maybe I will do that between football games today.
