How resilient are these guys to falls?

poisonfrog420 May 23, 2003 09:57 PM

I would think that being so aboreal they would be able to recover from calls quickly. Any way, I was just taking pictures of my frilled out of his cage. It was in my basement that has concreate floors. He jumped up in the air about five feet off the ground and landed on the floor. I would normaly not be worried about a fall, but this was from five feet up and laded on a solid concreate floor. Any ideas if this is going to cause damage. He looks fine, he would not eat right after, but some times he just does'nt eat. Any way, I will post an up date and the pictures I took tommarow. Later, Jacob.

Well, mine has taken some pretty big flying leaps. He tends to put all four out and kind of glide to a landing. He's always landed square and never gotten hurt. I think you're right, being tree lizards, they probably know how to fall gracefully.
