WOOOHOOOO.......

rainbowsrus Sep 16, 2008 02:29 AM

Was feeding babies tonight and went back in and look what caught my eye......

Yup, Savannah finally dropped her litter at POS + 117 days

12 healthy babies
7 slugs
1 preemie

2 - 26 grams
8 - 27 grams
2 - 28 grams

They were already mostly out of the sacks and on the move so I only got a few pics.

On a side note, I've been going back and forth on this one wondering if she was gravid. The doppler fetal heart monitor was not much help. At lunch today I tried to check for heart beats and was not able to clearly detect any. Was using ultrasound gel. A week or so ago I tried in water with several females including Savannah but they were just getting agitated and IMO not the best plan to agitate a gravid female.
