well it coulda been ALOT worse and we are very thankful.
we have utilities after 4days including internet! so here are a few pics. many more here in houston got alot worse we were actually real lucky. nobody got hurt lost no animals except some breeder mice which were fed off to hungry snakes.

this is the backyard its hard to tell in this pic but 3 trees dominoed including the front one shown which had the kids treehouse in it and also took out 3 fences

this tree took out the heat exchanger which allowed approx 15-20gallons of water pour into my hallway before i could get up there and cover the hole. also hard to beleive that branch weighed several hundred pounds took all i could to move it 2ft. to cover the hole were the heat exchanger went.

a look out my front door

it was bad but coulda been so much worse and since its the king forum heres a king...

Glad everything is alright.

Thomas,

Glad you are all safe. Ike traveled all the way up here to Cincy. We had 78 mph winds and now 660,000 people have been without power since Sunday. School has been canceled both days so far. God help us should we ever have a real disaster, people are losing their minds in the grocery store, parking lots and gas stations. Im seriously thinking about getting a rifle for home protection should a big event happen.

Thomas,
Glad you're okay. Your place looks alot like mine did after hurricane Rita in 05. Trees everywhere!
It was nice meeting you in Daytona (met you at Rainer's table while he was away and again at Tom's table later).

Take care.

Thomas, really glad you made it through as well as you did. That really was one helluva storm, Bolivar Peninsula is a parking lot, I hear.

So glad you are ok. The thing I find I dislike so much about the web is that I now know so many people from around the country. Was nice hanging with you in daytona son, and I am very glad you are safe.

Glad you are ok. I live in Port Arthur. Flooding missed us. Still no power thoiugh. I was able to get into town to see my house yesterday. It looked much like the poics you show. No structural damage to the house. A few broken windows, missing shingles, lots of limbs and debris. We were LUCKY. The surge came about a foot from going over the seawall and flooding a good part of the city. All my snakes are fine.
