I'm sorry to inform you that Michael Tankersley passed away on Sept 2nd from a car accident. For further information, please contact his sister at marie_871@yahoo.com . I'm not sure what will become of his turtle collection as of yet but I know he has put alot of time into them and had come here alot. So those of you that were his friend's I'm sorry to inform you of this.

deepest sympathy to his family and all who shared or just read his posts.I hope people over there can offer necessary help and care for his turtles.He will be missed on here by many I`m sure R.I.P.

Very sad news indeed and thank your for letting us know. I did a search for Mike's messages and he was always ready to help a person with a problem whether it was a turtle, tortoise or snake. His death is a lost to all who love herps. A "brother in arm" is gone, and he will be missed.

Terrible news. You could tell, just by reading his posts that he was a good person, always trying to promote the propagation of reptiles.

I just saw this message... have been offline for a while. Man this sucks. I remember TeePee sucking up information about turtles quite some time ago. He was like a sponge and never seemed to forget what he learned.
