Does any one bake or recommend baking cypress mulch before putting it in the cage?

Yeah i have seen someone post that up not too long ago, they said that they buy some cypress mulch from lowes at a discounted price and heat it up in their oven but im not sure for how long and how hot, i think @ 425 Degrees, so yes to your question but not in details. Sorry.

300 degrees for half an hour will kill anything in the mulch.

buy it , use it......

no worry.......

you may have to dry it a little.....throw it all into tubs, whatever and let it dry if it's really wet......
