Can't wait to see how this little dude matures up!. I'll try to concentrate on getting some nice super close-ups of his bright red tongue soon.

A couple thoughts, Doug.
(I have to say them as I think of them, since I have so few!
I even had a thought last week, but it passed.
)
.
First, great animal... If it turns out anything like Mark's breeders, it will be a real looker as an adult.
.
Second.. Keep us posted as it developes. I can see the eye is already beginning to red up.. Another hallmark of everglades..
.
Third.. I'm interested to see if it completely looses its dorsal blotches, or not?????
Example: My male from SW Lake Okeechobee retains some blotching.

LOL!!, I like the "had a thought, but it passed" thing!
Yes, I don't have a pic of the male, but the mother is certainly a nice looking example of rossalleni.
I definitely plan on taking successive shots from time to time to capture his ontogenic change as he matures, I really like documenting that sort of thing.
Also, as you can see, his mother has slightly visible pattern remnants as well, similar to the one you posted. From the info I gathered from Mark, she was captured in Hendry County. You have probably already seen this pic of her, but just in case, here is the mother of the youngster.

Doug:
That is already a screamer. Two bad I cannot step forward in time 2 years to see it nearing adulthood! Darn!
Matthew
Thanks a bunch!, Mathew....yes, it's hard to imagine it being any MORE rusty orange so early on..LOL!
Definitely not your so-so "everyday" run of the mill example! I think I might have to invest in a good quality pair of sunglasses in the near future..LOL!
thanks again!, ~Doug

Hey Doug. Looking forward to seeing the color change. I know you’ve got the photo skills to get a good picture of the eye- I think you will see them get more orange too! That might also be cool to document.
That's a big "10-4"!!, I plan on doing that as well.
Thanks for your confidence in my photo skills!,...I seem to get some acceptable shots from time to time,...as you know, it can be real tough sometimes..LOL!
