What gecko did I find in my FL apt? HELP

domingjm Sep 16, 2008 10:13 PM

Fortunately I was planning on getting a Tokay or Crested, so I have the equipment, supplements, food, heat, etc. already. I just need to know what the hell he is so I can optimize humidity and temp. Hopefully we figure it out.
He doesn't climb glass well, but does climb upside down on my arm and up the curtains pretty quickly. And he's probably not injured because his interest in food was high.
Thanks for the help.

By the way, I pulled that cricket out of his mouth. It was the smallest I had at the time.

But it is a beautiful baby!

At first glance, it does look like a leopard or fat tail baby but those toes...? The shape looks like a type that walks up glass well, like a Tokay, or any of the geckos with the little hooks in their toes. The coloration, the spotting specifically, is characteristic of a juvenile patternless leopard gecko. So, I'm at a total loss. LOL!

I think there's another forum here somewhere, where people play "Name the snake." (Members post a picture of an animal, in whole or part, and the other members guess.) Perhaps if you post to them, they'll be able to nail it.

If you find out, or rather, WHEN, please post a follow-up message. I'd love to know what it is. Or, you could just ship it to me, and I'll let you know what it is when I find out. *wink*
