New Reptile Shed

jeffharding Sep 17, 2008 04:53 PM

Just wanted to post my pics of my new reptile shed/room. ITs a 10x8 outdoor shed with reflectix insulation and plywood floors. It houses a Sav Monitor in a 8x3x2 tank, a salmon boa in a 36"x16" tank (not in shed yet) and hisser roaches in a rubbermaid container. Sorry for the picture quality, they were taken with my camera phone.

Let me know your feedback, thanks!

Shoulda went with a Weber!

Nice lookin setup, curious as what if any fluctuations will be observed in temps (based on your located and heating mechanism) will be observed in the winter???

Man, if that sav ever escapes...it's gonna have a feast! haha

Before the insulation, the temps inside were gettting to 120 and as low as 60. With the Reflectix, the temps hold steady at a max of 75 (80 since the lights from the sav cage were there) and a low of 68. In the winter I am hoping to keep the same temps with the use of a space heater at night. For the summer I also installed an exhaust fan in the top of the gable to move the air. I might also put an intake fan in as well for better circulation. Right now the humidity inside of the cage stays at 65-70%
