well i started holding my male the day i got him when he was only about 4-5 weeks old. different people say different things.. congrats on the new snake

i inspect my entire collection everyday. i pick up each snake for about 20-30 secs to give them a quick look over. most all my snakes are used to this. some still give a hiss every now and then. never had any problems what so ever.

As long as they eat regularly and breed it doesn't matter! If they are getting stressed by the handling they likely won't do either of the above so those signs will let you know if they aren't happy.
