Rabbits have more protien and less fat than rat's. I raise rats and rabbits, and switch my Boas to fuzzy bunnies by their 2nd b-day. Rabbits are much easier to care for and the larger breeds produce litters in the teens, and they grow fast for the larger Boas - and no cages to clean.

I just in the last year switched all my girls and few boys to rabbits and have to say I love them! They seem to get more out of a rabbit than a a couple jumbo rats! It will be interesting to see if my baby production goes up this coming season.
