Hey Gang,

So in 06 from a pair of a female snow, and a male striped sunglow, I Hatched out 16 eggs 8 amel 8 snow. The snows were a suprise, and one of them had a partial pattern mutation.

I held onto one of the amels and it turned out to be male, so right now i am looking for something interesting genetic wise to match him up with, he is 2 years old now and a very nice size. i dont mind if i have to buy a young snake and grow it up, i was just curious what you all think about what would be interesting to mix him with. i just cant make up my mind.

Here are a few pics

I have an opinion that is based on appearance and not on genetics. I think a reverse okatee would be a good match. I know you may hear some different opinions and that is OK. I think the reverse is my favorite morph.

Yes, I can see the thought of breeding him to a nice reverse okeetee. He has nice white borders on the back half of his body.
he is het anery and het stripe so you could go with an amel stripe or an anery stripe

to an anery stripe there are several possibilities
normals het anery het amel het stripe
anerys het amel het stripe
stripes het amel het anery
and stripe anerys het amel

with amel stripe the possibilities are
amels or amel stripes with possibilities of the amels being het anery and het stripe and the amel stripes being het anery

I'd either breed to non related snow or a really pretty amel.

I noticed in the first pic that the corn is eating a bird. How's that working out for you?

I'm asking because I just ordered some frozen quail to experiment with mixing some birds into my corns' diet.

I dont feed quail all the time but i have been suplimenting diets with them for years now, my theory is variety is always a good thing, so mix it up alittle

That's kind of what I was thinking of doing. The quail are on their way. I was just wanting to hear from someone with experience using them as feeders.
