Did Don ever finish his second book?

phiber_optikx Sep 19, 2008 02:41 PM

Just wondering. BTW, how did everyone's season turn out?

I don't think he is quite finished with the book
I had a pretty good season.
Ended up with a little over 180 hatchlings with a high hatch rate this season so I was pretty happy.
Bad thing is, I'm probably going to keep 10 or 12 this season and none those are cinnamons or stripe creams.
But all in all it was a pretty good season
how did things go for you?

Good to hear Jimmy. I am snakeless at the moment. I suppose I should edit my signature... But when I do have time to get back into the hobby I will definately be hitting you up for one of your striped creams!

I didn't know that Don was writing a second book. I really like his first one.

This season has been my best yet and full of surprises. I hatched 96 babies and found out that some of my breeders where hiding some traits that I didn't know they had. I found out that I had the aneryB trait which was one that I was missing and a triple het that I have is actually a quadruple het (amel, anery, hypo, motley). Sales are going decent, a little slow, but not bad. I spent a good part of the day today driving around delivering some snakes that some local people have spoken for. I have to say, all in all, this year is a success.

I sure hope its out soon enough.. I am intrested to see if one or two of my pictures made it in the book..

Season could have been better, but all in all its not bad.. I need to actually start doing some marketing to start selling off the babies.. I was late and well, it seems I have way to many to consider holding back at this point..

No he has not finished it yet. He works on it as he has time but this is the busy time of the year. He has been shipping every Mon-Wed and some times on Thursday for about the last 2 months. Plus responding to numerous emails everyday.

My first trip down hatchling lane...1 clutch, 13 eggs, 12 hatchlings! All but one sold as well.

I have three more females that will be big enough for next year. Definitely caught the bug.....
