I love how this picture came out. I tried to feed her mice, which is what her old owner said she seemed to prefer. She refused. But I love how the reflection bounced off the mouse. Ghost mouse *eek*.

That is pretty cool in a weird kind of way.

Almost all of the "problem feeder" ball pythons I have kept like to feed from the security of a hide box (ambush predation)
Also some change from rats to mice and vise versa. I gave up trying to convince them to eat what I want and give them what they want.
Hide boxes for any snake make them feel more secure and go a long way. Snakes spend most of their time hiddden.

I have one that eats guinea pigs as well. I have also in the distant past had to use gerbils to get some older wild caught BP's to eat. Also if I provided an area of 90 degrees this stimulated non feeding bp's to feed.

I have 2 bp's that will only eat live as well. I gave up trying to "make" them eat certain things and just go with the flow.

according to the guy i got her from he could never make her take frozen thawed , or prekilled. so we have a tube of plain neosporin on hand incase she gets bit. my males aren't picky luckily.. so next time just try to catch her in her hide spot and give her a rat? sheacted like she would want to get the mouse. she kept acting like she was trying to sneak up on it moving pretty slowly but it would run before she could get it so she just gave up, or she would just avoid it entirely. i checked every few minutes but the came of cat & mouse lasted for 2 hours so i just blocked her and took it back out..

I would try whatever she ate last in conjuntion with a hide spot, then switch to a different source if she continues to refuse.
